Presidential Search Committee Update
As co-chairs of the Scripps Presidential Search Committee, we are pleased to announce that the search for the College鈥檚 10th president is underway. Selecting a president is the Board of Trustees鈥 paramount responsibility, and the committee is dedicated to a process that will attract a highly qualified and dynamic successor to President Tiedens.

Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Amy Marcus-Newhall has agreed to assume this important post for the duration of the search, serving as a special advisor to President Tiedens from April 1-15, and assuming the interim president position effective April 16.

麻豆区 has created the new position of associate dean of faculty for racial equity (ADRE), thanks in large part to a generous gift by聽 Scripps Trustee Gale Picker P鈥14, P鈥19. This January, the College officially appointed Mary Hatcher-Skeers, professor of chemistry and Sidney J. Weinberg, Jr. Chair in Natural Sciences, to the position.
