The exhibit features never before seen works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez.The New York-based online publication Hyperallergic listed the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery’s Pintor de Poemas: Unseen Works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez exhibition as one of the ten art shows to see in Los Angeles this November.
“Pintor de Poemas presents more than two dozen works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez, many on view for the first time, offering new perspectives on this pivotal figure in the development of Mexican Modernism,” the says.
Guest curated by Scripps alumna Robin Dubin, director of Louis Stern Fine Arts, the exhibit sheds a new light on ѲíԱ’s engagement with labor, revolution, Indigenous identity, and war in early twentieth-century Mexico and Los Angeles.
The exhibition will run until December 14, 2025 and the gallery will be open from noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, visit
