
The work of Scripps photography Professor of Art is part of the Ìýnew exhibitÌý.ÌýThe exhibit is a major survey on the evolution of Chicana/o/x image making, moving through the civil rights era artworks, to contemporary photography and multi-media installation work. It brings together 150 works from over 50 artist, many of whom are local to the Inland Empire, to highlight the camera’s role as both a political tool and a means of cultural preservation. Featured artists created works that comment on how big industry is changing the cultures and communities of small Inland Empire towns. Ìý
